I've Been at Camp for Eight Long Years

I've been at camp for eight long years,
And I don't know what to do,
Because now I must leave it all,
And I must leave all of you.

I've been at camp for eight long years,
And now I'm standing up here,
But now I don't know what to say
As I see all of these tears.

I've been at camp for eight long years.
I've made lots of friends,
But now that it is time to go,
I hope these friendships never end

I know that there is NFTY
And I'll see some of you there,
But friendships die and bonds do break,
And it's more than I can bear.

So maybe I'll see you three times a year,
But that is not enough.
I know that I will miss you all.
I know this will be tough.

I'll miss the first day of camp.
I'll miss Pool Zion and the sports.
I'll miss activities and my friends.
We all know how much it hurts.

I'll miss the cabins and dining hall.
I'll miss Ziggy, JC, and Lou,
But most of all my best friends,
I'll miss all of you.

When we go home tomorrow,
Don't forget to keep in touch,
And please don't forget me,
Because I love you all so much.

As I cry and say goodbye
To each of you today,
Remember your friends and memories
In each and every way.
